Never losing his serve during the encounter, Karlovic hit 13 aces and struck a serve at 142 MPH to close out the match. Currently ranked No. 29 in the world, Karlovic took home 250 ATP World Tour points and $84,250 in prize money. Young, who was looking for his first-career title, never looked comfortable during the sixty nine minute match.

Dominating the match from start to finish, Ferrer hit three aces and broke serve on four occasions. Needing 83 minutes to seal his victory, Ferrer improved to 8-0 against Fognini in lifetime meetings.
