Hometown hero Kei Nishikori won his second career title at the Japan Open on Sunday, defeating powerful Canadian Milos Raonic 7-6(5), 4-6, 6-4. In a match that saw Raonic hammer 22 aces, it was ultimately Nishikori’s guile and baseline determination that saw him capture his fourth title of 2014. Nishikori, who has not lost a match since the US Open final, will next head to Shanghai for the Masters 1000 title there.
