In a rematch of the US Open final, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray will face off in the Shanghai final on Sunday after posting straight set wins on Saturday.
First up, Djokovic needed one hour and 26 minutes to defeat Tomas Berdych 6-3, 6-4. Winning 83 percent of his first serve points and breaking serve on three occasions, Djokovic improved to 10-1 against Berdych in lifetime meetings, while keeping his undefeated Asian streak intact this year.
Not losing a set this week, Djokovic will next face two-time defending winner Murray for the Championship. Murray continued his stellar year by dismissing world No. 1 Roger Federer 6-4, 6-4. After a 36 minute rain delay in the second set, Murray improved his head-to-head with Federer to 10-8, including two straight victories.
Federer, who hit five double faults during the match, won only 36 percent of his second serve points. The Swiss No. 1 will hit 300 weeks at the top spot on Monday as a result of his week in Shanghai.
Federer is next set to see action in Basel, Switzerland.
