Rafael Nadal withdrawals from 2012 London Olympics

July 19, 2012 · Print This Article

Defending Gold Medalist Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from the 2012 London Olympics tennis event with a knee injury. Winning the gold medal over Novak Djokovic in the 2008 Games, Nadal has not played a competitive match since losing to Lukas Rosol in the second-round of Wimbledon. His place in the draw will be taken by Feliciano Lopez.

Nadal is still scheduled to play the upcoming Rogers Cup in early August.
