World No. 7 Tomas Berdych and former top 10 player Mikhail Youzhny took home ATP World Tour titles in Montpellier, France and Zagreb, Croatia on Sunday, respectively.

Capturing his seventh career title, Berdych defeated Gael Monfils, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 in two hours and five minutes. Striking 12 aces in total, Berdych broke Monfils on three occasions and improved to 2-0 in lifetime meetings. The towering Czech reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open in January, losing to Rafael Nadal in four sets.

Monfils, who was attempting to win his fifth career title, fell to 4-13 in championship matches.

Needing a quick-fire one hour and nine minutes to seal his eighth career crown, Youzhny dismissed Lukas Lacko, 6-2, 6-3.

Using his versatile game to great effect, Youzhny won 82 percent of his first serve points, and 44 percent of his total return points.

Lacko, who was appearing in his first career final, recently reached the third-round of the Australian Open. The Slovakian is currently ranked No. 97 in the world.
