Former world No. 4 Nicolas Kiefer has called it quits after 15 years on the ATP World Tour. Announcing his retirement from the sport earlier this week, Kiefer decided that his time would be better spent at home with his family.

Winning six singles titles, while reaching the fourth-round or better at all four Grand Slams, Kiefer reached the semifinals of the Australian Open in 2006 as his best Major finish.

Kiefer, who is looking forward to spending time with his newborn daughter, Mabelle Emilienne, also won an Olympic silver medal in doubles during the 2004 Athens Games.
