The New Haven event, which is a duel ATP and WTA tournament held just before the US Open, could be canceled or moved for 2011 if a title sponsor is not found to replace Pilot Pen.

The ATP will not aid the event with a relief fund, but has extended the tournament’s time frame to find a new sponsor until the end of October.

The long-standing Indianapolis event was recently moved to Atlanta this year.
