Injured and out of action for a greater part of this year, world No. 7 Juan Martin del Potro provided an update earlier today on Twitter regarding the confusion surrounding his taxes.

Apparently, del Potro was late in submitting his gross income for the year, which ultimately resulted in a debt of 40,000 pesos. However, the 21-year-old was quick to clarify that his taxes were paid in full, and that the government owed him 55,000 pesos.

“I do not owe anybody anything, they own me. I’m tired of lies ,” del Potro stated on Twitter.

Changing gears to lighter subject, the Tandil native also provided an injury update regarding his wrist.

“Talking about important things, I’m fine—God willing next week I [will] start [hitting] little by little”

The Argentine confirmed last week that he will not defend his US Open title, and that he will likely return to action at the Thailand Open in late September.
