Llodra Chooses Tennis Over Wine in Marseille

Flamboyant Frenchman Michael Llodra, who reached the eighth ATP World Tour final of his career on Saturday in his native Marseille, France, admitted to reporters that he was disapointed to miss a wine taste earlier in the week before taking the court to defeat top seed Robin Soderling 7-6 (2), 6-2.
“I couldn’t lose that game because I was supposed to take part in a Chateau-Latour [wine] tasting today with friends, including Amelie Mauresmo, and I was really upset to miss that one,” admitted Llodra.
“Maybe that’s the reason why I played an almost perfect match.”
Llodra, who has won three career titles, will face countryman Julien Benneteau in Sunday’s championship match. The pair will return to the court after their singles final to contest the doubles final together.
