Del Potro Might Miss Indian Wells

February 13, 2010 · Print This Article

Struggling with a right wrist injury, world No. 5 Juan Martin del Potro announced today that he could be sidelined for one or two months.

Playing through pain at the Australian Open, del Potro was defeated in five sets by Marin Cilic in the fourth-round.

The 6′6″ Argentine will miss the upcoming Marseille and Dubai events, and his countries’ first-round Davis Cup tie against Sweden.

Del Potro remains hopeful of participating in Indian Wells, but maybe forced to miss the year’s first Masters 1000 event.
