Cincinnati Masters Renovations Underway

The year’s fourth Masters 1000 event on hard-courts in Cincinnati, Ohio will undergo significant changes before the start of this year’s event.

Hosting the world’s best players for more than a century, the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters has seen phase one of their $10m renovations take shape in recent months.

The upgrades to the facility are as follows:

- Fan amenities including six new luxury boxes and 750 extra seats with sun cover over an expanded western stand.

- A 21,000 square-foot court-level player area with two locker rooms (each accommodating more than 100 players), private training rooms, locker rooms for male and female coaches, and a 2,200 square-foot fitness area.

- An 8,000-square foot space on the ground floor which includes a 5,500 square-foot indoor player lounge and offices for the ATP World Tour and the WTA Tour.

- An 11,000 square-foot second floor for player dining, a warming kitchen and storage.

-  A  4,800 square-foot outdoor player lounge on the roof of the second floor.

The Western & Southern Financial Group Masters will take place between Aug. 15-22, 2010.
