Nalbandian out of Australian Open

Injury woes have once again sidelined world No. 46 David Nalbandian from the 2010 Australian Open.
Nalbandian, who arrived in Auckland with the full intention of competing in the year’s first Major Championship, suffered an untimely abdominal injury practicing on Monday.
Nalbandian withdrew from his first round match in Auckland on Sunday.
The Argentine had originally intended on staying in Auckland until the end of the week, but after an MRI scan, physician’s suggested that the damage was far to severe to risk further injury.
Nalbandian’s upcoming tournament schedule has yet to be determined.
