Hewitt Out, Bags In For Belgrade

The news just seems to get from bad to worse for the Aussie as he was denied a wildcard into next week’s Belgrade event as the final spot instead went to Cypriot and TC favorite Marcos, my career fell apart after my girlfriend left me, Baghdatis. This leaves Hewitt with only the Madrid event for his prep for Roland Garros but given Hewitt’s career results on clay, I don’t think anyone is really freaking out.
Hewitt was originally slated to play the Davis Cup event in Chennai but Australia pulled out of the event because of security fears.
Hewitt has been given a wildcard into Munich this week. Also Hewitt doesn’t have direct acceptance into Madrid, and surely won’t be able to play unless he is handed a wildcard.
